Inspirational Heroes

During reading we have been researching people who have faced challenges and have stood up for what they believed in. They have either been a voice for those that don't have one or are a person who never gave up when facing challenges.

My person is: Abraham Lincoln
Come visit Room 6 to check out my flip presentation of Abraham Lincoln.

The Safety Robot

I am learning to: create a narrative writing from an image

Sam looked up at the sky, it was 2050 he was trying to be quick to get home. He wore thick circle glasses, he wanted to be an inventor when he was older.  He was a poor boy, he didn’t have any money. “But at least I can go to school.” he said in his mind thinking, what he could create.

I was struck awake by a Bang!! I went down stairs but there wasn’t anything there, I ran back to my room. I tried and tried to go back to sleep, but he was to scared to sleep, he thought he would be hurt.
In the morning, he was very very scared, he went down stairs, to eat breakfast and then went to get
his bag.

I walk to school that day, I went to my class room, room 24.  I had science first thing in the morning I heard a bang! As I was opening the door, I saw that the science teacher had a black face of smoke, and coughing like mad he said. “Good morning class (coffing) today we will be making a start on our robots.”

I ran home with my arms fill with robotic building goods, as I ran upstairs with the goods and slammed the door behind me and dump all the goods on my desk “puff puff puff.” He started with finding all the right pieces and put it all to grather. 1 hour later “Done” Sam said in a good tone he had dinner and then he thought about what the robot would be made for “I know I call it the safety robot.”

The next morning he went to school he carried his big robot he got to tried and put him done and then had a ‘’thought how about I turn it on to see if it really works.’’ and it did work so they walked to school in the morning they had a great idea ‘’well before I turned you on I thought of making you into a safety robot so do you think that's a good idea’’ Sam said "Well what does a safety robot do.’’
"They protect people that get scared.’’

They went to the science room but the safety robot couldn’t fit!! So he had to stay outside, Sam took the class and the teacher and they went down to the field and, showed them his safety robot. Sam got 1st prize and passed science.

Cyber Safety

Room 6 has been learning about cyber safety We have learnt a lot about being a digital citizen. Here are three key rules that I think are important:

1. Be careful of what you post on the internet. All information and images leave a digital footprint.

2. Never share your personal details such as full name, age, address and password with any people, even those who say they know you.

3. Be nice! No one likes a digital bully. Be respectful and be a great digital citizen.

If you are even unsure check with an ADULT!

Growth Mindset

We have been learning about growth mindset and how you should never give up. You have to try, its not OK to not give things a go.

You need to have a growth mindset not a fixed mind set. A fixed mind set is when you say something like "I suck at maths" that's a fixed mind but if you say something like this "I am going to train my brain in maths!" that's what you say if you have a growth mind set.
TRAIN YOUR BRAIN
